Pumps with high vibration caused the flat face discharge flange to leak. The customer had tested many gasket types with similar results and no performance improvement. The mill was struggling with the need to change out expanded PTFE gaskets every one to two months which interrupted production with unscheduled downtime causing unnecessary costs.
