Style 127-AFP is designed for sealing valves used in steam. An outer jacket of wire-reinforced carbon yarn is braided over a plastic core for sealing and pressure resistance. The unique outer jacket construction encapsulates the Ni-Cr alloy wire reinforcement inside the carbon yarn. There is no wire in contact with the stem, making stem wear almost nonexistent. This is allowing increased service life of both packing and equipment.
