Case Study: GYLON EPIX® 3504 - Large Mining Facility

There were too many different types of gaskets being used to handle acid, steam, hot water, etc. Maintenance personnel found it difficult to know which gasket was appropriate for a service. In the worst cases compressed fiber gaskets with NBR or NBR rubber were used in acid services which resulted in leaks.
