Garlock's KLOZURE® Model 53T2 Oil Seal with a MILL-RIGHT™ N lip offers up to 73% improvement in abrasion resistance than standard nitrile seals translating to higher equipment efficiencies, longer bearing life, increased production, and less maintenance. This T2 tandem seal features a finger spring activated secondary seal to contain lubrication in case of excessive primary seal wear. This seal is a great bearing protection option to reduce wear on shafts from shaft to seal interference in applications with minimal shaft misalignment. Unlike bonded seals where the rubber to metal bond can fail, resulting in leaks and lack of bearing protection, the Model 53 performance is assured with our assembled combination of a sealing element, heavy duty metal case, adapter ring, and a mechanically retained finger spring. The KLOZURE® Model 53 is available in multiple dual lip configurations for additional lubrication retention or to prevent contamination ingress. For optimal performance requiring greater misalignment consider KLOZURE® Model 59 or KLOZURE® Model 64. For longer seal life, choose a MILL-RIGHT™ ES lip for 93% improvement in abrasion resistance compared to standard nitrile seals and 300ºF (150ºC) continuous temperature resistance. Upgrade to a MILL-RIGHT™ V lip for 400ºF (204ºC) continuous operating temperature.
